Choosing A Home That's Right For You

Your home says a lot about you and the kind of lifestyle you lead. Someone living in a Toronto loft, for instance, is likely to be an artist, student, or the low person on the totem pole at one of the offices downtown. Therefore shopping for a new property can be a daunting task, especially in a city you're not completely familiar with, like Mesa, Arizona. To help you choose a home that you'll be proud to live in and that will fit all the requirements for the lifestyle you intend to lead, we've created this article.

Young Professionals

Young professionals are the go-getters of the business world and they often want to be where the action is. Newcomers to the working world often don't have the resources to buy Caledon real estate out in the suburbs, nor do they want a sedate home life. They want restaurants and pubs and cafes with pricey coffee on the way to work. Often they take public transit instead of owning a vehicle, so parking spaces are less of a concern to them. For brand new professionals who aren't sure whether they'll stay in the city or move on after a couple of years, we recommend renting a downtown apartment.

Families with Kids

Families with kids are often trying to find a home in an area that will help them get away from their hectic work lives. They usually want a single family detached home, preferably with a yard for the kids to run around in and the kind of neighbors they don't have to watch out of the corner of their eye. Nearness to schools is a bonus, as is landscaping and access to public parks. In the Greater Toronto Area, these people would generally opt to buy a Scarborough home for sale. In Mesa, the best place for them would be a planned community like Malborough Mesa.

Single Women

Single women living alone are often nervous about living in high traffic areas like downtown where the proximity to bars and clubs could lead to unwelcome encounters with drunk people or overly amorous men. Single women, whether they're young professionals or older divorcees, want to live in a safe neighborhood with nice, well-cared for homes that are reasonably connected to the heart of the city. A Toronto Annex home for sale and the Mesa equivalent is probably beyond the budget of a single person, so the recommended locale for a single woman is a row or town home in the Midtown area, which is close to public transit but a safe distance from downtown and the areas suffering from urban blight.

Retired Couples

Retired couples are usually looking to sever their ties with the professional world that has worked them to the bone these past 50 years. They're often entirely devoted to their social lives and to travel, joining the Sutton Members Program and taking a cruise around the Caribbean. Retired couples want to live near other retired couples so as to enjoy one another's company in a house large enough to do some entertaining, especially since the kids are likely to drop by to visit for holidays. Great areas for retired people are condominium complexes and planned communities.
